Ellie Fagg, violin
Described by the Strad magazine as playing ‘with a sense of enchantment’, Ellie Fagg enjoys an exciting and eclectic career performing as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player.
She has appeared as a soloist at the Barbican Hall, the Bridgewater Hall, St John's Smith Square, St James’ Piccadilly and performs regularly on BBC radio3’s ‘In Tune”. In 2023, Ellie led and directed the London Chamber Orchestra at Cadoghan Hall and the United Strings of Europe in Glasgow. She is an avid chamber musician performing regularly with USE and with many different groups including the Solem Quartet and Piatti Quartet and is looking forward to a year of monthly piano trio recitals at St Mary Le Strand as a member of the Somerset Trio. She appears regularly as leader and soloist with the Piccadilly Sinfonietta in London and across the UK. Ellie has performed with the LSO for over 20 years and also loves the mad challenge of playing whole symphonies from memory with Aurora Orchestra.
She also occasionally enjoys playing in the hit west end musical Hamilton!
Ellie plays on a 1715 Daniel Parker violin which was once owned by Fritz Kreisler.
