La Mariette Junior Masterclasses are for advanced violin, viola and cello students aged 10 - 16. As well as having individual lessons, participants have daily chamber music and string orchestra coaching, and perform in a concert at the end of the week. Aside from practice and coaching, there will be optional French lessons with a local French teacher and daily activities such as canoeing, cycling, tennis, eating at a local Fête Gourmande and visiting a local chateau. 

 

The small number of participants we take on these courses ensures that each child gets the maximum individual attention and is able to make great musical progress as well as having a fun and memorable week!

 

Parents who wish to accompany children are welcome to attend the free concerts and join us for the Fête Gourmande. There are plenty of chambres d'hotes in the area where parents might like to stay. We take a maximum of 18 students, on a first come first served basis, so early booking is recommended.
